Safeer Academy with over 380 pupils (from Nursery to Year 7, age group 3.5 to 12 years) in Chattogram, Bangladesh is an independent Islamic Academy that follows British National Curriculum for general subjects and Safeer Islamic curriculum for Hifzul Qur’an and Islamic education. Safeer Academy is seeking to appoint innovative dynamic academic professionals for the following positions effective from 1st September 2023:

[1] Teachers for general subjects (NC), (Vacancies 20= 14 females & 6 males), To teach Primary School Maths, English, Science and humanities, Working hours: Sunday to Thursday from 11.45 am to 5.00pm,
Requirements: Minimum 2nd class honours or above. Must be fluent in English. Preference will be given to those with Arabic backgrounds.
Salaries: Starts at 18,000-35,000 TK (per month) for non-BEd graduates and other allowances as outlined below. Starts at 22,000-40,000 TK (per month) for BEd graduates. and other allowaces as outlined below.

[2] Teachers for Islamic Education (QS) , Vacancies: 14= 7 females & 7 males, to teach Hifzul Qur’an, Quranic and modern Arabic and Islamic subjects, Working hours: Sunday to Thursday from 7.45 am to 2.00pm, Requirements: Minimum 2nd class honours or above. Must be fluent in Arabic. Preference will be given to those are Hafizul Qur’an and fluent in English.
Salaries: Starts at 18,000-35,000 TK (per month) for non-BEd graduates and other alowences as outlined below. Starts at 22,000 TK (per month) for BEd graduates. and other alowences as outlined below.

[3] Teaching Assistants (General and Islamic Education), vacancies: 6 females, to assist the teachers for Nursery, Receiption and Year 1 classes.
Working hours: Sunday to Thursday from 7.45 am to 3.00pm, Requirements: Minimum BA Degree in releant fields. Must be fulent in English.
Fluency in Arabic is preferable, Salaries: Starts at 12,000 -18,000TK (per month) for non-BEd graduates and other alowences as outlined below.

[4} Imam and residential teacher, Vacancy: 1 male, to lead Salah and to teach pupils during day time and to supervise residential pupils
Working hours: day and night shifts, Requirements: Minimum BA Degree equivalent degree in releant fields. Must be fulent in Arabic and fully Hafizul Qur’an. Fluency in English andis preferable. Salaries: Starts at 18,000-30,000 TK (per month) and other alowences as outlined below.

[5] Muazzin and Residential teacher, vacancy: 1 male, to call azan five times a day, to lead Salah and to manage the mosque affairs and to supervise residential pupils in the evening and night shifts, Working hours: day and night shifts, Requirements: Minimum BA Degree or equivalent degree in relevant fields. Must be fluent in Arabic and fully Hafizul Qur’an, Fluency in English is preferable. Salaries: Starts at 15,000-25,000 TK (per month) for and other alowences as outlined below.

[6] Hostel and Mosque Assistant, vacancy 1 male, to assist the Imam and the muazzin in their duties in the mosque and hostel. Working hours: day and night shifts, Requirements: Minimum SSC/ Dakhil/ equivalent certificate. Preferences will be given to hafizul Qur’an and fluent in Arabic. Starts at 12,000-18,000 TK (per month) and other allowances as outlined below.

[7] Receptionist, Vacancy 1 (male/female), to receive phone calls, interact with emails and social media platforms, support and coordinate with the office and the Principal. Working hours: Sunday to Thursday from 7.30 am to 5.30pm, requirements: Must have excellent social and telephone skills, computer (windows) skills. Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading and typing). Knowledge of Arabic is referrable. Salaries: Range- 12,000 -18,000 TK (per month) for graduates and other allowances as outlined below.

[8] Peon, Vacancy: 1 (male/Female) , to support the admin office and Principal’s office and other staff of Safeer Academy. Working hours: Sunday to Thursday from 7.30 am to 5.30pm. Requirements: Minimum SSC qualification. Can communicate in English and Bengali effectively. Salaries: Range- 8,000-12,000 TK and other allowences as outlined below

[9] Security Guard: Vacancy: 1 (Male), to guard the main gates of Safeer Academy and it is always fully safe and secure. Working hours: Sunday to Thursday from 7.30 am to 5.30pm. Requirements: Have knowledge, training and experiences in the field of security. Physically fully fit and able to communicate in English and Bengali. Salaries: Range- 8,000-12,000 TK and other allowances as outlined below

[10] Assistant Security Guard: Vacancies: 2= (1 female + 1 male), to support the main security guard, the admin office and Principal’s office and other staff of Safeer Academy. Working hours: Sunday to Thursday from 7.30 am to 5.30pm. Requirements: Have knowledge, training and experiences in the field of security. Physically fully fit and able to communicate in English and Bengali. Salaries: Range- 6,500-10,000 TK and other allowances as outlined below

[11] Cleaner . Vacancies: 2= (1 Male + 1 female), to make sure the main gates of Safeer Academy is full safe and secure. Working hours: Sunday to Friday from 7.30 am to 5.30pm, Requirements: Have knowledge and experiences in cleaning and hygiene. Physically fully fit and able to communicate effectively in Bengali. Salaries: Range- 6,500-10,000 TK and other allowances as outlined below

Application Instructions:

• 1. Application deadline for all the positions: Thursday midnight 13th July 2023
• 2. Written test for short listed candidate: from 11am-1pm Saturday 15th July 2023
• 3. Interview for short listed candidates: 20th, 21st and 22nd July 2023 (specific dates and times will be given to invited candidates).
• 4. NO TA/DA will be paid for the selection process.
• 5. Medical allowances: 1000 TK per month and yearly performance allowances 2000-3000 tk per month.
• 6. Two yearly festival allowances (based on monthly basic salary). House rent is included in the gross salary figure.
• 7. Application fees of 500 tk to be paid with the application. (Payment details are available in the ONLINE application form). For SA Internal candidates, this FEE is not required.
